Joyce was born on October 09,1942, in Bakersfield, CA, to Clifford and Dora Willoughby.  Joyce was blessed with a beautiful voice where she loved to sing and square dance, she always had music in heart and soul.  Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Samuel Rose, where they married on December 5th, 1958 in Strafford, MO.  They were blessed with three children, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Joyce’s surviving siblings are youngest sister Barbara and husband Lee Belle and her youngest brother Frank Willoughby. Joyce has several nieces and nephews, oldest son Ricky Rose and his three children, Megan Vallor and her husband Nick, their three children, Isaiah, Gabriel and baby Ceci. Dillon Rose and his wife Kelsey, their two children, Kenzi and baby Winter.  Michaela Rose and her son Johnathan. Joyce was fiercely loyal to those she loved, full of sass and personality, and a heart of gold.  As her granddaughter said, “Joyce set the bar for strong women everywhere”.  Joyce was loved by everyone who knew here, she took care of her parents until they passed, she never turned anyone away from a warm meal and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  JHeaven is rejoicing today with a new member of the heavenly gospel choir.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter.
