Ruth Doris “Kallemeier” Martin, 90 of Rogersville, passed away on January 17, 2023.

She attended Drury University where she met her husband, Don. Together they raised four sons, Don Jr., Charles, David, and John. For several years, Ruth was a member of the Springfield Symphony Guild and a member of the cast of the Gold Garter Review. She was a charter member of Highland Springs Country Club, where for many years she participated in the ladies’ golf league.

Ruth served as secretary treasurer of E.A. Martin Company, formally E.A. Martin Machinery Company during its advancement in the commercial real estate business. In addition, she served as the administrator of the Martin Family Foundation, within the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, regarding grant requests for the betterment of Springfield and the surrounding communities.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 70 years, Donald G. Martin, Sr. and four sons: Donald G. Martin, Jr. and his wife Kathy, and their children; Kristina and Eric; Charles A. Martin and his wife MaryAnn, and daughter Michelle; David L. Martin and his wife Leslie, and his son Sean; and John W. Martin and his wife Jill, and daughter Reagan. She was blessed with six great grandchildren, Carson, Ethan, Alivia, Colette, Ian, and Jude. Ruth is also survived by her brother, Robert E. Kallemeier and his wife Ann of St. Louis, MO, and numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

Private family service will be held.

The interment will be in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
