Thomas Charles “Tom” Wehner, 94 of Springfield, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, after a brief illness.

Tom was inducted into the Second U.S. Infantry Division and served in Korea. He was employed by St. Louis San Francisco Railroad Company, where he was first employed as a stenographer and then promoted to Tax Agent and then Tax Agent in Charge in the Oklahoma City office. He later became a Tax Commissioner and a manufacturer's representative, selling balloons to the floral industry.

Tom was a server for daily Mass at the Carmelite Monastery.

Tom is survived by his wife, Bev; daughter, Debra; brother, Robert; grandchildren, Rylie C. and Talia G. Wehner; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 in Immaculate Conception Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
