Founders Park will come to life this summer with free, family-friendly Wednesday Concerts @ Noon and First Fridays at Founders Park.
Liven up your lunch breaks May 4-June 29 with Wednesday Concerts @ Noon. The concerts feature a wide variety of genres, from musical theatre to big band jazz, and from Americana country blues to acapella harmony. Scheduled acts are:

First Fridays at Founders Park also returns in May, teaming up with First Friday Art Walk. Founders Park will feature live music, live art and concessions from 6 to 9 p.m. Musical acts are:

‘Swipe Right’ on Symphony’s 88th season
The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is preparing its 88th consecutive season with music about love, composers in love, and music we love to love.
The Symphony’s 2022-2023 season, “Swipe Right,” will continue its traditional nine-concert subscription series. All concerts will be performed at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. The season begins Sept. 17 and runs through May 13, 2023.
“Romeo, Don Juan and Brunnhilde didn’t have dating apps on their cell phones to Swipe Right and make their matches, but their love stories endure to this day and are immortalized in some of the most beautiful and romantic music for the symphony orchestra,” said Kyle Wiley Pickett, music director and conductor for the Springfield Symphony.
For his 10th season with the Springfield Symphony, Maestro Pickett is featuring a concert of various works by Clara and Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. The season will also include the entirety of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Ballet, including a live performance with the St. Louis Ballet.
Pickett has also selected works about love in all its forms, such as Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet — Suite 2, and Higdon’s Blue Cathedral.
“Join us for a season of music inspired by our deepest passions — romantic fairy tales, heroic love legends, and stories of eternal family bonds,” Pickett said. “From the exotic and amorous tales of Scheherazade to the star-crossed romance of Romeo and Juliet, we’ll bring the world’s greatest love stories to our stage.”
