The man who writes the songs that make the whole world sing, the legendary Barry Manilow, will sing some of those songs in Springfield.

Manilow is scheduled to perform Saturday, Aug. 24, at Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, 685 S. John Q Hammons Parkway.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15.

The 80-year-old singer and songwriter has sold more than 85 million albums worldwide. He’s had 51 Top 40 singles, including 12 No. 1 hits.

For the record, the Beatles hold the record with 20 No. 1 hits across all charts.
