Chick-fil-A will open a new restaurant at the intersection of Glenstone Ave. and Kearney St., according to a company press release.

The new store, located at 2355 N. Glenstone Ave., will open Thursday, Jan. 18, according to the press release. The lobby will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The drive-thru will open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Brian Heberlie, a U.S. Air Force veteran, was selected as the local owner-operator for the Glenstone and Kearney restaurant, according to the release. The new store will employ about 100 employees. There are more than five other Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Springfield region.

“I'm excited to provide a space where more of our neighbors in the Springfield community can create many wonderful memories,” Heberlie said in the press release.

Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America, which will be distributed to partners in southwest Missouri to aid in the fight against hunger, according to the release.
