Tasia - Taste of Asia, a Chinese restaurant located at 4728 S. Campbell #100 in Springfield that has been open for more than 18 years, announced on its Facebook page that March 25 will be its last day in business.
In the post, the owners attribute the closure to stress from staffing shortages and the high cost of operation. The post said that while they hope to remain open until March 25, service and hours could be limited as they run out their supplies and staff move to other jobs.
They advise patrons with unused gift certificates to use them as soon as possible.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our customers for their continued support over the past 18 years,” the post reads. “…We also want to thank all our employees, past and present, for your hard work and commitment. We could not have come this far without your contribution.”
