He scored the winning touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII, and now Mecole Hardman will touch down in southwest Missouri.

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver has been announced for a speaking event in Nixa on Sunday, April 21. According to a press release from Nixa Public Schools’ Aetos Center for the Performing Arts, Hardman “will share about his life, challenges, and how he found success as a way to inspire others to follow their dreams and the hard work it takes to achieve those.”

This event is a fundraiser for Care to Learn. Proceeds from the evening with Hardman will go to help Care to Learn meet the health, hunger, and hygiene needs of students in southwest Missouri.

Hardman’s three-yard touchdown reception from Patrick Mahomes in overtime secured a 25-22 win for the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl. It marked Hardman’s third Super Bowl championship in a five-year NFL career.

According to the press release, Hardman and his partner have a one-year-old son, Carey Mecole Hardman, and are waiting on the arrival of a baby girl. Hardman was born in Georgia and was a five-star football recruit out of Elbert County High School in Elberton. He spent three seasons of college football with the Georgia Bulldogs before the Chiefs selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

For the Nixa event, VIP tickets that include an after party at 14 Mill Market are $175. Regular floor seats are $75. Balcony seats are $50. Presale access will start on Thursday, March 7.  General public access will open at noon on Friday, March 8. Tickets and information will be available at https://www.aetoscenter.net.
